Building Strategy for Town Hall 4

At TH4, you're still learning the basics. Keep your Cannons and Archer Towers close to protect your gold and elixir. Your Town Hall has 2,100 hitpoints at max level, so it can take some hits. Put walls around your important stuff like storages. The Air Defense can go up to level 2 with 850 hitpoints - make sure it's protected because balloons will wreck you otherwise. Your Mortar hits level 2 max and does splash damage, so put it where enemies group up. The Wizard Tower at level 2 has 650 hitpoints and helps against groups of troops. When you're building a TH4 base, don't overthink it. Just make sure your storages are inside walls and your defenses can cover them. A decent TH4 war base keeps the Clan Castle central so those defensive troops can help out. The Air Sweeper at level 2 has 800 hitpoints and pushes air troops back, which is pretty useful. For farming, you might want to leave your Town Hall outside to drop trophies while keeping your resources safe inside.

Town Hall 4 Base Information

Upgrading to TH4 costs 200,000 gold and takes 1 day. You get Air Defense, Mortar, and more walls. Your Army Camp can reach level 6 with 310 hitpoints, and Barracks go to level 7 with 520 hitpoints. The Clan Castle maxes at level 2 with 1,400 hitpoints. You can build Wizard Tower and Air Sweeper now. This is where you start seeing real base layouts instead of just throwing buildings down. The Cannon can reach level 6 with 670 hitpoints, and Archer Tower hits level 6 with 580 hitpoints. These are your main defenses, so upgrade them when you can. The Laboratory reaches level 2 with 550 hitpoints and lets you upgrade troops. A good TH4 base design uses walls to create some basic compartments. Your Spell Factory unlocks at level 1 with 425 hitpoints, giving you access to spells in attacks.
