Building strategy for town hall 16
The Giga Inferno poses a serious threat, acting like a more powerful version of the multi-targeting Inferno Tower. It deals more damage, making it a tough opponent on the battlefield. To deal with its destructive potential, consider using a Freeze Spell to stop it from causing havoc among your troops.
When the Giga Inferno is triggered, it can be disadvantageous for defenders. This is because defense-targeting troops like Giants, Balloons, and Golems can then target the Town Hall (th16). To counter this, it's beneficial to place a single-target Inferno Tower nearby.
Using a single Earthquake Spell to activate the Giga Inferno strategically is a good move. This prompts defense-targeting troops to move towards and target the Town Hall, especially effective when they are close. Doing this quickly minimizes the time the Giga Inferno has to unleash its destructive attacks.
Like the multi-target Inferno Tower and Giga Tesla, the Giga Inferno's damage is reduced when targeting a single enemy. This makes Queen Charges a viable strategy for Town Hall attacks, especially if the Town Hall is not protected by other defenses. However, caution is necessary, as Giga Infernos, especially at higher levels, can deal more damage than Healers can heal. In such cases, a Rage Spell may be necessary to boost healing.
When facing a Giga Inferno, be prepared for its explosive aftermath if you manage to destroy it. The blast can wipe out smaller troops like Bowlers and Balloons and cause significant damage to larger units and heroes. The Grand Warden's Eternal Tome ability can protect against the explosion but won't prevent the Poison effect, so strategic planning is needed.
Even with the protection from the blast, the lingering poison can deal considerable damage after the ability wears off. It's advisable to eliminate the Town Hall early using a hero or a siege machine so that the majority of your army doesn't have to engage it.
Notably, a Freeze Spell won't help against the Giga Inferno's death explosion and poison effect. Although the explosion has a significant radius, it's smaller than the Giga Inferno's range. Units with long-range abilities, like the Archer Queen, can avoid the blast by not moving toward the Town Hall before it explodes.
In situations where the Town Hall is isolated with plenty of empty space around it, as is common in anti 2-star bases, a strategic approach involves allowing a lone Wall Wrecker or Battle Blimp, loaded with powerful Clan Castle troops, to target the Town Hall. At the same time, the rest of the army can focus on clearing surrounding buildings. If successful, the explosion only affects the Clan Castle troops used to destroy the Town Hall, allowing the Grand Warden's ability to be used elsewhere, such as against the Eagle Artillery.
